India, Yaudheya tribe of ancient Punjab. Ca. 1st Century A.D. Æ unit (29 mm, 11.82 g). Karttikeya (Shadanana) standing facing with one hand on hip and the other holding a scepter, with Brahmi legend Bhagavato Brahmanya-devasya around / Deer standing left, with six-arched hill to left and river below. Pieper 1117 (deer right). The deer standing left is more rare than the deer standing right. This is a massive specimen. Very rare.
