India, Chalukyas of Gujarat. Ca. 1030-1120. Billon gadhaiya (16 mm, 3.95 g). Stylized Sasanian bust right; Nagari legend Sri Rama written vertically to left / Fire altar. Unpublished. A new discovery! This legend Sri Rama refers to the hero of the Hindu epic Ramayana and may be a temple issue. Exceedingly rare, possibly unique.
