Manuel I Comnenus. 1143-1180. Æ tetarteron (21 mm, 5.04 g, 6 h). Thessalonica. Γ/Є-ΓΙ/ΟC, half-length bust of St. George facing, holding spear and shield / MANUHΛ ΔЄCΠΟ, bust of Manuel facing, holding labarum and globus cruciger. DOC 18; SB 1975. Choice green patina. Die-shift on obverse obscuring but not erasing the legend, reverse exceptionally well struck with complete, unfettered legends. Good very fine.
