A rare Moche ceremonial container from Peru, ca. 400 – 700 AD. This oblong orangeware vessel is 7-1/4” long and is decorated with an important deer hunt scene. The characters are molded in relief and show ornately attired hunters wielding clubs, chasing deer. Most likely a presentation vessel for a sacrifice. Ex Caravallo collection. Value range: $600 - $800
