Description
A marvelous Inca mace head effigy vessel from Peru, c. 1300 - 1500 AD. This fine polychrome bottle is 7-3/4” high and represents the business end of a battle club. A rare feature of this choice example is the nicely detailed bird that supports the chimney portion of the spout on its back. Intact, great paint, strong mineral deposits. Ex Espinoza estate. Value range: $650 - $800
