TREBONIANUS GALLUS. 251-253 AD. Æ Sestertius (30mm - 17.64 g). Rome mint. [IMP] CAES C V[IBIVS TREBONIA]NVS GALLVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / APOLLO SALVTTARI (sic), S-C across field, Apollo standing left, holding branch in right hand, left hand resting on lyre resting on rock. RIC IV 104 var. (SALVTARI). VF, brown patina with some green deposits, typical square flan.

RIC records two different varieties of this reverse type, one with APOLL, the other APOLLO. The second is rarer than the first. This coin has the longer version of APOLLO and also an unrecorded spelling error of SALVTTARI.
