Carinus. As Caesar, 282-283. Æ antoninianus (21 mm, 3.56 g, 12 h). Siscia, under Carus, A.D. 282. M AVR CARINVS NOB CAES, radiate and cuirassed bust of Carinus right / PRINCIP-I IVVENT, emperor, in military attire, standing facing, head left, holding baton and transverse spea; */T//XXI(crescent). Cf. RIC 197 (no crescent in mintmark). Dark brown patina, hairline flan crack. Extremely fine.
