Description
Diocletian. A.D. 284-305. Æ antoninianus (22 mm, 4.21 g, 6 h). Siscia, A.D. 289/90. IMP C C VAL DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust of Diocletian right / CONSERVATOR AVGG, emperor standing right, holding scepter and Jupiter standing facing, head left, holding scepter, each sacrificing out of patera over lighted altar between them; ·A·XXI·I·. Cf. RIC 263. Nice large flan and well struck. Much original silvering remaining. Nearly extremely fine.
