Description
Mysia, Pergamon. Ca. 166-67 B.C. AR tetradrachm (25 mm, 12.15 g, 12 h). Ca. 76 B.C. Serpent crawling from cista mystica with lid ajar; all within ivy wreath / Bow-case with serpents; in left field, monogram of Pergamon; above, ΑΠ above monogram and star; in right field, thyrsos with serpent coiled about the staff. Kleiner 25; SNG BN 1726-7. Toned. Fine / very fine.
