Description
Sicily, Syracuse. Hieron II. 275-215 B.C. Æ litra (18 mm, 6.03 g, 5 h). Ca. 263-218 B.C. Diademed head of Poseidon left / IEP[O-NOΣ], ornate trident flanked by two dolphins; any controls, if any, illegible. BAR issue 60; CNS 194. Dark greenish-brown patina with lighter green deposits. Very fine.
