Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. Æ 1/2 unit (17 mm, 3.46 g, 8 h). Amphipolis, probable lifetime issue, ca. 325-323/2 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / [Α]ΛΕΞΑ-ΝΔΡΟΥ, eagle standing right on thunderbolt, head left. Price -; SNG Alpha Bank 708. Dark green-black patina. Very fine.
