Description
Thessaly, Meliboeia. Ca. 352-344 B.C. Æ dichalkon (17 mm, 6.15 g, 7 h). Head of the nymph Meliboeia facing slightly left, her hair entwined with bunches of grapes / ΜΕΛΙΒΟ[ΕΩ]-Ν, two bunches of grapes on branch. Helly pl. 2, 16; Rogers 390; SNG Munich 112. Very rare. Dark brown patina, a few tiny pits. Very fine.
