Macedonian Kingdom. Philip II. 359-336 B.C. AR tetradrachm (24 mm, 14.33 g, 12 h). Amphipolis, ca. 316/5-314 B.C. Head of Apollo right, hair bound with tainia / ΦIΛIΠΠOY, youth on horseback right; below, dolphin. Le Rider pl. 46, 19; Troxell grp. 9, 331-2; SNG ANS 749. Fantastic strike and metal, perfect centering, and light iridescent toning in the protected areas. Choice extremely fine.
