ARABIA. Imitation of Abi'el. Circa 2nd-1st Century BC. Billon Drachm (3.58 gm; 15 mm). Crude head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin / Zeus-Shamash seated left, holding horse and sceptre; palm and HE monogram to left, inscription behind. Arnold-Biucchi, "Arabian Alexanders," in Mnemata: Papers in Memory of Nancy M. Waggoner, 26. Nice original find patina. Choice Good VF. Rare.
