Umayyad, temp. al-Walid II ibn Yazid, AH 125-126 (AD 743-744). AR dirham (2.82 gm; 25 mm). Wasit mint. Dated AH 126 (AD 743/4). Klat 719.a; Album 138. Although Wasit struck under al-Walid II, Yazid III, and Ibrahim for this year, issues can be definitely attributed based on the number of annulets in the margin (5 in this case). Choice EF. Lightly toned. Rare.
