Description
KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'The Great'. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm - 17.18 g). Byblos mint. Possible lifetime issue, struck circa 330-300 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand, scepter in left; AP monogram in left field. Price 3426; Müller 1375. Near EF, toned, some minor roughness and light doubling on the obverse.
