Description
KINGS of CAPPADOCIA. Ariarathes VII. 112/110-100 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm - 16.39 g). Struck in the name of Antiochos VII of Syria, circa 104-102 BC. Diademed head of Antiochos VII right / Athena standing left, holding Nike in right hand, left hand set on shield resting on ground, spear held in left arm; two monograms to outer left, O-L across fields; all within wreath. Lorber & Houghton series 1, issue 3, 85-97 (obverse die A3); SNG Spaer 1872 (Antiochos VII); SMA 298 (Antiochos VII). EF, light roughness on reverse, well centered.
