TRAJAN. 98-117 AD. Æ Sestertius (34mm - 26.70 g). Rome mint. Struck 115 AD. IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate and draped bust right / IMPERATOR VIIII / S C in exergue, Trajan seated right on daïs, extending hand to five soldiers, two of whom extend their hands to Trajan; sixth soldier holds horse at ready; three military standards behind; two soldiers standing behind Trajan, a third stands right before daïs. RIC II 658; BMCRE 1019; BN 844. Fine, mottled brown patina, some obverse punch marks, split on edge.
