KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'The Great'. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm - 16.75 g). Lamspacus mint. Struck 310/9 - 309/8 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand, sceptre in left; KI before, Qbelow throne. Price - (see 1407-8 for a stater and drachm with these same controls); Müller -; Hersh -; Thompson 288 (same obverse die). VF, toned, some minor roughness. Apparently a rare issue, just one specimen cited by Thompson.
