Description

A lot of 10 New Kingdom terracotta amulet molds. Lot includes a mold for a Wedjat, or ‘Eye of Horus’, an uncleaned cartouche; a figure of the goddess Sekhmet; a chevron-shaped collar element; a fruit-shaped collar element; a palm leaf element; a “knot of Isis” amulet; an amulet of seated Horus the child; a tall lidded container element for a collar; and an ankh. Light white paste showing signs of prior use, two with old collections numbers in black ink. Well preserved. Largest measures 37 x 25mm. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value range $250-$350.
