Description
SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos VII Euergetes. 138-129 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm - 16.45 g). Antioch mint. Diademed head right / Athena standing half-left, righ hand extended, holding shield and spear with her left; monogram and A to left. SC 2061.4h var. (Athena holds Nike). Good VF.
An interesting variant with Athena not holding Nike in her right hand. Perhaps an unfinished die or perhaps just an over site by the engraver. Interesting.
