HADRIAN. 117-138 AD. Æ As (26mm - 14.96 g). Rome mint. Struck 134-8 AD. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, laureate head right / RO-MA, S-C across fields, Roma standing left, holding Victory in right hand, reversed spear in left. RIC II 824 var. (Roma holds palladium); BMCRE 1608 (same). VF, dark brown patina.

This reverse type usually shows Roma holding a palladium, as is clearly visible in the BMC plates. This coin clearly shows Roma holding Victory who holds a palm and wreath.
