Obverse: Laureate head of Zeus Ammon right
Reverse: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, tripod in left field, A countermark
Attribution: Svoronos 793 (under Ptolemy II, Ake-Ptolemais mint), Fethiye 86
Grade: near Very Fine
Weight: 3.14 grs.
Measure: 17.08 mm.
Notes:
An interesting bronze which Cathy Lorber suggests was minted in or near Telmessos and perhaps counterstamped at Halicarnassus. Many of these tripod bronzes are found in the collection of the Fethiye museum and are considered a local coinage.
