Description
Judaea, Roman Administration. Diva Poppaea and Diva Claudia. Died A.D. 65 and A.D. 63 respectively. Æ (18 mm, 5.40 g, 12 h). Caesarea Paneas, A.D. 65-68. Statue of Diva Poppaea seated left within distyle temple set upon high podium / Statue of Diva Claudia standing left within hexastyle temple set upon high podium. TJC 354; Hendin 1270; RPC 4846. The only coin issued in the name of Nero's daughter, Claudia, who died in infancy. Green patina with earthen highlights. Very fine.
