India, Sasanian empire in Sindh. Varahran V. Ca. A.D. 420-438. AV dinar (17 mm, 6.95 g). Bearded bust of king right, holding a flower; Brahmi legend Sri to right / Fire altar flanked by two attendants. Unpublished type. This specimen is an unpublished variety: the king is holding a flower to his nose. RRRR and possibly unique.

Sind was the furthest extent of Sassanian dominion in the Indian subcontinent.  Very rare gold coins were issued under Varahran V (420-438 AD) by his local governors.
