SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD 399-420. AR drachm (4.20 g; 28 mm). GW mint. Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, crescent to left of flames and inscription “ gw ” to right, “ yzdkrty :Yazdgard ” to left, and “ l’sty : true ” on altar shaft. Göbl I/1; Alram 854. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous.
