SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD 399-420. AR drachm (4.14 g; 28 mm). Uncertain mint. Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, crescents on sides flames; illegible inscriptions to right and left, “ l’st(y) : true ” on altar shaft. Paruck -; Sunrise –; Saeedi -. Choice AU. Lightly toned.
