SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD. 399-420. Silver Drachm (4.08 gm; 25 mm). Mint : SYR (Sirjan). Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos / Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, inscription to left and right, on altar shaft, and to left of flames, crescent to right (SNS type Ib1/1a var 3; Göbl type I/1; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 907var. - Elegant style. Well struck on a nice compact flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned. Very rare mint.
