SASANIAN KINGS. Ardashir I (224-240 AD). Silver Drachm (3.36 gm; 25 mm). Obverse; Ardashir bust with Persis crown turning right, reverse, stand alone fire altar, two dots one on the right and the other on the left at the bottom of the final base, a line in the middle of fire altar shaft. Sunrise 713. Extremely rare with dots in the noted positions. Lovely strike. Choice EF. Nice old cabinet toning.
