SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird II. AD. 438-457. Æ (2.00 gm; 17 mm). Obverse; Yazdgird's bust turning right with symbol of "fleur de lis"(symbol of royalty, unity and nobility) or Sword/spade (symbol of of wisdom, acceptance and labor). This symbol appears in AEs of the kings in the middle period of empire. Lovely strike on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice VF. Nice original find patina.
