Ionia, Smyrna. Ca. 105-95 B.C. Æ (19 mm, 5.40 g, 12 h). Pytheos, magistrate. Turreted head of Tyche right / ΣΜΥΡΝΑΙ[ΩΝ], statue pf Aphrodite Stratonikis standing right, holding small figure of Nike crowning her with wreath, and scepter; before her, low column upon which she rests her forearm; in left field, monogram and magistrate's name: ΠΥΘΕΟΣ. Milne p. 31, 147; BMC 31. Brown patina. Nice very fine.
