Ionia, Teos. Ca. 450-425 B.C. AR stater (22 mm, 11.99 g). T-H-I-O-N around, Griffin seated right on ground line, raising forepaw, on ground line; below forepaw, head of female right / Quadripartite incuse square. Matzke series Cb1; Balcer -; CH VIII, pl. V, Hoard 47, 1 (same dies). Lightly toned. Nearly extremely fine.
