A. Plautius. 55 B.C. Fourrée denarius (19 mm, 2.66 g, 9 h). Rome. A · PLAVTIVS AED · CVR · S · C, turreted head of Cybele right / [I]VDEVS / BACCHIV[S], Bacchius Judaeus (Aristobulus II, High Priest and King of Judaea) kneeling right, holding reins and offering up olive branch; behind, camel standing right. Cf. Crawford 431/1; cf. Sydenham 932; cf. Plautia 13. Toned, plating broken in several spots. Nearly very fine.
