Reverse: SECVRITAS - REIPVBLICAE, Victory advancing left, carrying wreath and palm branch
Attribution: RIC IX 7b ii Siscia
Grade: Extremely Fine
Weight: 2.38 grs.
Measure: 20.08 mm.
Notes:
A nice bronze with a bold portrait. Known to history for his disastrous strategy at the Battle of Adrianople. This battle is still studied today by military strategists as a "what not to do" scenario.
