Description
Julia Domna. Augusta, A.D. 193-217. AR denarius (17 mm, 3.02 g, 12 h). Alexandria, under Septimius Severus, A.D. 194. IVLA (sic) · DO-MNA · AVG, draped bust of Julia Domna right / AEQVITAS II, Aequitas standing facing, head left, holding scales and cornucopiae. Cf. RIC 607A (IVLIA); cf. BMC p. 86, + (same); cf. RSC 3a (same). Very rare with engraver's error misspelling IVLIA as IVLA. Good very fine.
