Description
HUNNIC TRIBES, Hephthalites. Æ Drachm (2.68 gm; 18 mm). Uncertain mint. Sasanian king Peroz-style bust to right, wearing winged crown (his 3rd and final crown) with 3 large dots(?) replacing the standard korymbos set in a single ring; traces of crescent(?) at, 2, 6 and 9 oclock outside of the ring, Rev. Stylized Sasanian fire altar flanked by two attendants set in 2 rings. Choice VF. Nice original find patina. Possibly unpublished. Extremely rare.
