BYZANTINE EMPIRE. Romanus IV. 1068-1071 AD. AV Histamenon Nomisma (4.30 gm; 28 mm). Michael standing facing, holding labarum and akakia, flanked by Constantius and Andronicus, each holding cross on globe and akakia, and wearing saccos and loros; dotted exergual line below / Christ standing on footstool, crowning Romanus and Eudocia, each wearing saccos and loros, and holding cross on globe. DOC III 2; Sear 1859. Well struck on a nice full flan. Choice AU. Nice example for the type.
