L. Plautius Plancus. 47 BC. AR Denarius (18mm - 3.80 g). Head of Medusa facing, coiled serpent on either side / Victory flying right, leading four horses and holding palm. Crawford 453/1a; CRI 29; Sydenham 959; Plautia 15. VF, toned, porous and crystalized. Lot also includes a Fourré of the same variety, near VF with some breaks in the patina. 2 coins in lot.
