VESPASIAN. 69-79 AD. Æ Sestertius (33mm - 22.19 g). Rome mint. Struck 71 AD. IMP CAES VESPASIANV AVG P M TR P P P COS III, laureate head right / IVDAEA CAPTA, SC in exergue, Jewess, in attitude of mourning, seated right on cuirass under palm tree; to the left of the palm stands Vespasian in military attire, holding a spear in right hand and parazonium in left, let foot on helmet. RIC II 167; BMCRE 543; BN 497. Good Fine, golden tan patina, surfaces a little porous, some smoothing on the edge, types clear.
