SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, sole reign. 312-294 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm - 16.98 g). Ekbatana mint. Struck in the name of Alexander III. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand, scepter in left; monograms, anchor and forepart of a horse grazing left before, SW below throne. SC 202.11b; Price 3931; ESM 475. Good VF, obverse a bit off-center.
