Description
SASANIAN EMPIRE. Ca. 5th. Century AD. Quartz Crystal Stamp Ring Seal (2.03 gm; 14mm x 11mm x 9mm). Bird walking right, the second line of legend is almost illegible. The word "bishtn" means "harm". More than likely it is reference to sacrificial nature of the bird which stops harm to the owner. Minor hairline natural partial crack inside the stone. Excellent condition. Intact. Rare.
