Tiberius. A.D. 14-37. AR denarius (17 mm, 3.64 g, 12 h). Lugdunum, A.D. 16-37. TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, laureate head of Tiberius right / PONTIF MAXIM, Livia, as Pax, seated right on chair with ornate legs, holding scepter and olive branch, feet resting on footstool. RIC 30; RSC 16a. VF.

The reverse type of Pax is widely believed to represent Tiberius' mother Livia in the guise of the goddess. An important coin type thought by many to represent the "tribute penny" given to Jesus by his enemies in an attempt to elicit a response that would give cause for his arrest.
