A splendid example with choice detail and a story. Pablo Picasso"s life-long friend Andre Breton was an avid collector of Celtic coinage. These Celtic coins influenced the young painter"s avant-garde style and many Picasso originals can be traced to styles seen on Celtic coins 2000 years earlier.
