Description
Agnimitra III. 2nd century A.D. Æ 1/2 karshapana (12 mm, .69 g). Lamp flanked by standards, all resting on sacred pedestal / Brahmi legend Agnimi(tasa), with three Panchala dynastic symbols above. Not listed in Mitchiner. This small denomination was issued by a later king called Agnimitra III. They are quite different in style and fabric to the coins of Agnimitra I recorded by Mitchiner. Very rare. Very fine.
