Jishnu. 4th-5th century A.D. Æ coin (8.5 mm, .40 g). Conch shell (shankha) / Brahmi legend Jishnu. Pieper 1058; MACW 4902. A boldly struck specimen with the king's name Jishnu completely visible. Scarce and superb. Good very fine.

There is no inscriptional evidence of Jishnu, but he appears to have been a local ruler in the Ujjain region after the collapse of the Gupta empire.
