Description
Hagamasha. 50-40 B.C. Æ coin (20 mm, 4.19 g). Goddess Lakshmi standing facing on satrapal symbol, holding a lotus; tree to right; Brahmi legend Khatapasa Ha(gamashasa) around / Prominent horse symbol. BMC, pl. XXVI, nos. 1-5. Our specimen has the complete legend visible: Khatapasa Hagamasha (Satrap Hagamasa). Very rare and choice. Fine.
Hagamasa's coins are quite rare. No specimen has been sold on CNG so far.
