Description
2nd century B.C. Æ coin (18 mm, 4.17 g). Elephant advancing left, with swastika and indradhvaja to left and six-armed symbol above / Railed tree in centre with hollow cross to left and hill to right. Pieper 195. This cast coin is symbolically very rich. It was issued in the Kausambi region by the Mauryan/Sunga kings. Scarce and choice.Very fine.
