2nd century B.C. AR karshapana (13.5 mm, 3.35 g). Five punches, including three human figures / Peacock symbol. A lovely specimen with sharp punches. Very fine.

The identity of these three figures is still undecided. There is some speculation that these could represent the mythical heroes of the Ramayana - Ram, Sita and Lakshman.
