2nd century B.C. Æ coin (12 mm, 1 g). Brahmi legend Shosheniye arranged clockwise / Crescent. Not listed in any catalog. A pleasing specimen with complete details. Very rare and important coin. Very fine.

This rare type was earlier misattributed to Kausambi.Â However, the legend Shosheniye indicates it was issued by a hitherto unknown city called Shosheni.
