Triloka Chandra Deva. 1240. Æ jital (15 mm, 2.80 g). Stylized horseman right / Nagari legend in 3 lines: Maharaja/ Sri Triloka/ Chandra Deva. Tye 68. Scarce and choice specimen, with complete details. Very fine.

Kangra is a massive fort in modern-day Himachal Pradesh, in the low foothills of the Himalayas. The Hindu kings who ruled Kangra for over two centuries after the coming of Islam are almost unknown in history; their existence was shadowy and the dating of their reigns is tentative. Their coins are fairly scarce, not well-studied and difficult to find.
